Ingólfur Vilhjálmsson is a prolific performer of the newest and most progressive genres of music. He started early in his career to commission and to premier many solo pieces for his instruments. His playing has been described recently in Grammophone Magazine (for the Sisyfos Clarinet Concerto, composed by Gunnar A. Kristinsson) as “exemplary, at times fierce virtuosity”
